TOP 10 NEWS OF THE WEEK (SEPT 25 - OCT 1)

Madhavan - Ritika Singh starrer Irudhi Suttru, directed by Sudha Kongara, is one of the most profitable films of this year, which also received huge praises from the audience and critics. Ritika Singh had won the National Award (special jury award) for her performance in the film.

It has been nine months since the release, but the laurels for the film keep coming in without a break. Yes, the film is now selected for the prestigious Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) and will have its premiere screening on the 31st of October.

When we contacted director Sudha Kongara about this honour, this is what she had to say. "It is a happy moment for us. The curator of the event had seen the film, even much before the theatrical release and was very much impressed. The screening event will be happening on the 31st of October. But I am not sure if I would be attending the event, because, I might be held up with the shooting of Guru (Telugu remake of Irudhi Suttru)."
