The failure of this film is viewed as one of the most unfair moments in the history of Tamil cinema. This neo-noir tells the story of a group of rival gangsters in search of a missing stash of cocaine. The film’s narrative structure and edgy dialogue was radically new to Tamil cinema at that time, due to which the censor tribunal demanded 52 cuts that lead to a two year delay. The film has found a recent fan following amongst the millennial audience for the same reasons it was infamous for at its time. The film’s director, Thiagarajan Kumararaja is currently busy with the release of the much awaited Super Deluxe, an ensemble starring Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh  Faasil, Samantha and others.
