ROCKY TRAILER
If looks were to go by, the trailer director Arun Matheswaran’s Rocky makes no bones of its ultra-violent tone. The trailer gradually builds tension, starting from displaying still images (set in the expanse of the sea), the film introduces a jailbird (played by Vasanth Ravi), who is also giving a voiceover about the corrosive nature of time and loneliness one experiences within the confines of a prison. Suddenly, the film sees a steep increase in its bloodshed, and the violence becomes more intense with Darbuka Siva’s pulsating music and Shreeyas Krishna’s rust-coloured visuals. Packed with edgy visuals, Rocky promises to be an unabashedly brutal drama.
