TAMIL MOVIE RELEASE EXPECTATION

After casting Vishal as a playboy of sorts with his Theeradha Vilayattu Pillai, Thiru's second movie with him, Samar, will have him as an action hero. Written and directed by Thiru himself,  Samar is an action thriller partly set in Thailand where the team shot most of the action scenes. Samar has action scenes choreographed by internationally acclaimed stunt masters. Vishal plays an adventure sports trainer who gets caught in the web of some bad elements and the whole movie is about him clearing his name.

Trisha is cast opposite Vishal for the first time. Samar ran into title trouble when it was launched but an out of court settlement of sorts was arrived and the movie's title was cleared to be used Thiru and team. The latest trouble seems to have emerged from producer / distributor Malaysia Pandian who lodged a complaint against the film's producer T Ramesh saying that he is yet to receive his commission for helping sell the overseas rights. However, this issue is likely to be settled and will not affect the release of the movie and its prospects.

Other than Ooty, Chalakudy and Thailand, the movie was also shot widely in Europe where the songs and few of the action sequences were shot. Vishal and Trisha are joined by Sunaina, Jayaprakash, Sampath Raj, Manoj Bajpai and JD Chakravarthy also play significant roles in the movie. 

Samar is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the soundtrack comprises of five songs, written by Na. Muthukumar. The well received songs are sung by Yuvan, Naresh Iyer, Suchitra, Udit Narayan and Shweta Menon. Audio rights are owned by Sony Music. The movie will be distributed by Five Colours Multi Media that also recently brought the Telugu rights of the movie. Samar is releasing this weekend all over.
