MADHA YAANAI KOOTTAM MOVIE RELEASE EXPECTATION

Madha Yaanai Koottam (MYK) is directed by Vikram Sugumaran, who worked with the legendary Balu Mahendra and was also involved in writing dialogues for Vetri Maaran’s Aadukalam. MYK becomes significant for music director G V Prakash as it is his maiden production venture.

According to G V Prakash, MYK talks about ‘Seimurai, a practice which is unique for Madurai and surrounding areas. This is similar to ‘moi’ or the gift we normally give during happy occasions. But, Seimurai will find its place in sad occasions like death. G V says this practice has not been properly recorded in Tamil cinema till now.

For a particular clan Seimurai is so important that the deviation of which has even resulted in murder and serious clash. Death is normally a grieving affair, but here death is a celebration.

G V Prakash opted to produce MYK because he felt there was culture in the story which will also work out commercially. As per Balu Mahendra, this is a middle cinema. A middle cinema is one which is a great product by itself and at the same time does not bring loss to the people involved.

Madha Yaanai Koottam should not be missed for the following reasons, as per the music director turned producer.
