Jackson Durai is an upcoming horror comedy starring Sathyaraj, Sibiraj and Bindu Madhavi in lead roles. Music for the film is composed by Siddarth Vipin.

The quirky album begins in a retro note fused with peppy vocals of Anthony Dassan. The syncopated rhythm is blended effortlessly with live drumming and feisty Jazz keys. Dassan adds a lazy layer to this song which has high energy levels. Watch out for the unexpected advent of harmonium and jazzy saxophone in between!

A breezy melody with deserving vocals of Karthik and husky Chinmayi arrives next but this song isn’t contemporary in any sense. It attempts to bring back the rustic folk flavors stricken perfectly with  80s Pop ballads.  The song also sounds like an American country single “Country Roads” with the inevitable Tamil touch! The overall feel is quite fresh and entertaining.

The album shifts gears to a masala number in the powerful vocals of Gana Bala and supported ably by racy rhythm section and folk instruments. The composer adds an additional modern touch with Hip-Hop beats with digital loops as well. However, it is the fun filled saxophone and trumpets which take the front seat in this composition.

Is it time for a funky finale with the remix version of the quirkiest song in the album. The composer makes sure it doesn’t sound too noisy at any point of time by adding only fewer riffs giving it a party look instantly. This version attempts to build a bridge between rustic folk flavors to club music in style!
