Her elements trilogy Fire, Earth and Water have got her as many brickbats as accolades, the most controversial of which was Fire. Her films have been premiered at prestigious film festivals world wide and she has also won many international recognitions for her work including an Academy Award nomination. Besides Indian films, she has also made quite a few international films including a two part TV series which was a kind of prequel to Indiana Jones.
