The action thriller which got released on October 17, 2009, featured Surya and Nayanthara in lead roles along with a host of supporting actors including Saroja Devi and Vadivelu. Directed by KS Ravikumar, Aadhavan emerged victorious even while facing stiff competition from Peranmai. Songs by Harris Jayaraj were a big plus to the movie.
