Vidhi is the story of a young girl (Purnima) who is seduced, impregnated, and dumped by a rich Casanova (Mohan). Ordinarily such characters kill themselves and they are avenged by the hero but not in this film. This extraordinary young woman drags her ex – lover to court to establish paternity and with a feisty lawyer’s (played by Sujatha) help exacts her revenge. She then walks away without looking back and decides to have the child out of wedlock. Truly path breaking cinema!
