Suriya has been giving a row of hits of late and all of them did have a fairly good opening, but it was Ayan that took the top spot among them all. Maybe, it was the off season release with not many other movies in the fray, the superb publicity of Sun Pictures or Harris Jeyaraj’s music that added to the excitement. It did not matter in the end as the movie stayed for quite some time in theaters.
