While Anniyan went about exterminating wrongdoers, a police officer and his subordinate were slowly but surely tracking him out. The investigation track does not get a lot of footage in the movie, but the few scenes that are dedicated to it are interesting. There is a generous sprinkling of humor too with Chari (Vivek) trying his hand at decoding the Sanskrit anagrams left behind by Anniyan. The different disguises that Prakash Raj and Vivek get into for an under cover investigation are amusing.
