His fans call him Ilaya Thalapathi. Many still call him the ‘Ghilli’ of Kollywood after the 2004 blockbuster. You would think that Vijay would name Ghilli as the favorite one in his career. But, we feel differently. Vijay will very much cherish the characters that he played in films like Kadhalukku Mariyaadai and Love Today. These movies gave him a solid grounding amongst the youth from where he took off on the journey to becoming the huge star that he is now. But, one feels it would be a tough call between Kadhalukku Mariyaadai and Love Today, even for Vijay to make. In the end, however, Love Today might end up having the edge because of the theme’s deviation from the routine finishes that were being given for all love stories.
