Kamal Haasan’s film, Virumandi was originally called Sandiyar. The Vidudalai Siruthai Katchi protested the use of the title and it had to be changed to Virumandi. In the movie, the protagonist even takes a crack at the powers that be for forcing his hand on the issue.
