Shivaji Rao Gaikwad: Arguably the most popular name in film circles across the world. After great struggles during his teens, he joined the Madras Film Institute and was financially supported by his friend Raj Bahadur for 2 years. He made his debut in Apporva Raagangal and the rest is history. Interestingly, he has never acted in a Marathi movie, though his mother tongue is Marathi.
