This firm does films of all kinds and sizes, from the limited budgets to the mammoth ones like Dasavatharam. Starting off purely in distribution, Aascar graduated to production and became synonymous with quality. The production house is also known for adopting low budget ventures which are in trouble and getting them into theaters. It would not be wrong to call Aascar a trendsetter; after all, the firm showed Tamil cinema that huge budgets can be feasible when everyone thought that the near 30 crores spent on Anniyan was never going to be recovered. If there is one thing this production house is unbeatable at, it has to be marketing.
