Master director and young star, there is not much that can go wrong between such a combination because problems are generally associated with big names and their king sized egos that are supposed to come along with them. The problems in the case of Ameer and Karthi cropped up just prior to the release of Paruthiveeran, the issues being financial. The movie was produced by Studio Green Gnanavel, cousin of Karthi and so Ameer’s ire was directed at the family for betraying him.
