small time thug with a heart of gold or an underworld
don who is in the business to help the downtrodden.
This is about as ‘anti’ our current
generation heroes can seem to get. Now, we don’t
want villains being made out of heroes but where
are those shades of grey, the wicked smiles, the
inscrutable intentions and smooth exteriors that
mask a terrifying interior. The anti-hero seems
to have gone out of vogue and we want him back.
