This
was a movie with not just one but two such passionate
scenes. Kamal Hassan was involved in both the
occurrences. Rani Mukherjee and Vasundhara Das
were playing his better half during different
time periods. When the movie released, these
were the most daring acts in Tamil cinema. Reactions
from the public and the media were of all kind.
One might not be wrong in saying that Kamal
Hassan (director) went a bit ahead of his time
and people, even though the script demanded
the scenes. When Kamal can go any extent to
show a particular scene as real as possible,
it’s very understandable that he wants
to express his character’s love in the
best possible way too.
