Salangai oli – Sarathbabu – Kamal Haasan

This may rank right at the top as Sarathbabu and Kamal’s friendship was nothing short of a classic. Sarathbabu does everything for his friend and Kamal Haasan in turn lives only for his friend. Their friendship was the basic fabric of the film but the most touching of it is towards the end of the movie when Kamal dies in his wheel chair and the sky explodes when Sarathbabu is taking him to the hospital. To protect his dead friend from getting wet he shields him with his own body. This was the epitome of friendship which lingers in the hearts of all movie buffs for a long time.
