Remo thanksgiving meet happened recently which witnessed an emotional Sivakarthikeyan breaking down. Let’s see in detail what happened.
The meet was graced by Siva Karthikeyan, Keerthy Suresh, Anirudh Ravichander, Sathish, PC Sreeram, editor Ruben and many other cast and crew of the film. The list also included notable distributors like Tirupur Subramanian, Kalpathi Agoram from AGS, Alagar from Sushma Cine Arts and others.
The distributors of the movie were brought upon the stage and were felicitated.
The event began with the speech of Tirupur Subramanian. He said, "I have distributed 630 films in my life and I didn't distribute any film after Sivaji. I am distributing films after 8 long years. It is because of the trust I have on RD Raja." When speaking about Siva Karthikeyan he said, "Sivakarthikeyan has grown up into a star who all the kids love. This love of kids has always made the stars into superstars. This has happened before only to Thyagaraja Bagavathar, MGR, Rajinikanth and Vijay."
Lyricist Vivek in his speech said, "Anirudh always has got a superb energy in him. The success of “Meesa Beauty" is the positivity Anirudh gave me." He finished his speech thanking Sivakarthikeyan for being a great friend all these years.
Editor Antony L Ruben said, "Remo is my 15th film. I am happy that I could work in a film with Siva after all these years. We were supposed to do a project in the past but unfortunately it didn't happen. With God's grace it has finally happened."
Actor Sathish started his speech after congratulating Yogi Babu that his performance and one-liners have been significant for the phenomenal success of the film. He also added, "Keerthy and I are coming straight from the shoot of Vijay sir's Bairavaa. While starting from there I asked her what color dress she is going to wear. She told me it was Blue and hence I wore Black today. But now she too came here wearing black. I am sure there is going to be pictures virally on the net that we both came here with same color costume".
Saranya Ponvannan in her speech said, "I have been acting as mother for 15 years and the audience still accepts me as the mother of all the heroes. This team is so affectionate to me that I became even younger after acting with Sathish and Siva. They kept cracking jokes on the set and never allowed me to perform."
Director K.S.Ravikumar on his speech opened up a trivia that Gemini Ganesan's role in Avvai Shanmugi was supposed to be done by Sivaji Ganesan. He added up, "It is nice to see passionate producers like R.D.Raja. Only passionate people like him would felicitate distributors on stage. He looks to be on the lines of R.B.Chowdhury and A.M.Ratnam".
Oscar-winning Sound Designer Resul Pookutty in his speech congratulated the cast and crew on the success of this film. He also said, "Siva Karthikeyan is a dedicated artist. He dubbed for the women's role four times back to back. Even after that, I was not satisfied. A.R.Rahman sir then gave me voice changing software which helped a lot in work at final stages."
The female lead Keerthy Suresh thanked all the cast and crew of the film. "It was always tough to get compliments from my parents. My parents after watching the movie told me "Laddu Maathiri Irukka". Thanks to PC sir. It was because of him that I got that compliment from my parents."
Director Bakkiyaraj Kanan thanked all the people who gathered at the event and also made his speech much shorter when he ended up saying, "I wanted to work with Anirudh once again."
Music director Anirudh Ravichander quipped, "24 AM Studios office doesn't just look like a corporate, the people who work there also work professionally like a corporate. I worked with Resul sir in 3 and I feel happy to work with him again." After expressing his eagerness for reunion with Bakkiyaraj Kannan he finished his speech saying, "I was in LA last month when the trailer got released. I showed it to my friend Diplo and he was amazed by it and said he wanted to watch the film. It looks like Mrs.Doubtfire". As usual he ended up his speech with a thanks note to his friend late Aravind.
The hero of the movie Siva Karthikeyan thanked all the distributors for making their presence at the event and also each and every cast member on stage wholeheartedly. Speaking about Yogi Babu he made fun of him that they had one more climax in the movie where it finishes off as Yogi Babu trying to marry Regina Motwani. He thanked Anirudh for being there whenever he takes a difficult choice of film. He mentioned Ethir Neechal's marathon concept, Kaaki Sattai's cop storyline and Remo's woman dressing concept as examples.
When speaking about RD Raja he was emotional and with tears he said, "That man hasn't even got a single car of his own. He doesn't even have a single property of his own. I shoot for 18 hours, go home and have time to play with my daughter. That man has hardly met his family. He has stood in the reception of many advertising agencies for hours. There are people who did not allow us to work and everyone knows them. I am requesting them in front of the media and press that if they are allowing us to work in peace, we will for sure make a product which all our Tamil Cinema would become proud of." Even in the middle when RD Raja came forward to control his emotions he said with anger, "Vidunga Anne, Na pesikuren". The speech of SK made the audience shocked and everyone gave him a huge round of applause for his bold speech.
