At last, I'm a hero- Premgi - Event Story

Manga, an upcoming comedy film starring Premgi in the lead, was launched recently. The film will be helmed by debutant S R Raja and produced by Sakthivel.

While addressing the gathering, Premgi expressed his joy in having become a solo hero. “At last, I have become a solo hero, thanks to my director and producer. This film has also made few of my dreams come true. Firstly, I’m doing the music for the film. Secondly, I missed out spending time with Powerstar during the making of Onbadhula Guru, thanks to my Biriyani schedules. But I’m now elated to share screen space with him. And finally and importantly, my director has granted me two heroines in this film,” laughs Premgi.

Premji plays a double role in the film- one of a trendy guy and other, a 1950s Bhagavathar-like role. The first half of the film will be in color and the second half will have a period set up, which will be in black and white. As a composer, Premji is thinking of using vintage instruments for the songs and BGMs.

Powerstar who also plays a part in the film was welcomed on stage with huge roars and applause. The Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiyaa actor was crisp in his speech. He said, “My friend Sakthivel requested me to be a part of his maiden project and it was also the name of the film, Manga that urged me to step on board. I feel blessed to play a part alongside ‘Thambi’ Premgi. I’m happy that we have finally got a chance to share screen space in this film, after two failed attempts (to act together).”

The film will go on floors next week.
