Vasanthabalan's request to censors
Vasanthabalan, who spoke at the audio launch of Eppadi Manasukkul Vandhai raised some valid questions on the smoking scenes in a movie. He mentioned that while movies invariably have a disclaimer about smoking and alcohol in the title card, it's made mandatory to display that disclaimer every time a smoking scene appears in a movie. Vasanthabalan opined that this will take away the significance of the scene from the viewer. Besides he also stated that while Censor grants the U certificate, it's mandatory for a movie to be shown to a separate panel to obtain tax free certification. "Producers Council should intervene and find a solution for this," he said.
Earlier, Eppadi Manasukkul Vandhai audio was launched by former minister Paruthi Ilamvazhudi and received by producer Ibrahim Ravuthar. Produced by Kicha productions and directed by Prasad of Kadhalil Vizhundhen, Eppadi Manasukkul Vandhai has Viswa and Tanvi in lead roles.
