Speaking at the occasion Sai Prasad, MD Prasad labs said, “The film spans 2 hours and 17 minutes, which is a bit shorter than the original version. It took 1 year and 400 staffs working in 3 shifts, to make this a 3 dimensional film. Sivaji will be the first ever Indian 2D film to have been converted to 3D and Rajinikanth is the only actor to have acted in black and white, colour and 3D films.”

Rajinikanth praised the efforts of AVM and said, “I was dumbstruck when I saw a couple of scenes from the film. Like a hardcore fan, I kept clapping for almost all the scenes I saw. AVM has given importance to details and has done a spectacular job. In fact, the song ‘Vaaji Vaaji’ mesmerized me so much that I kept seeing it again and again. I can’t even imagine how ‘Athiradi’ and ‘Sahana’ would be. ” He also expressed that Enthiran and Padayappa would also be amazing 3D entertainers.

During the event, the 3D trailer and ‘Vaji…Vaji…’ song were screened. Now the talk among the media is that this 3D spectacle would be a treat for Tamil audience. The film is expected to hit the screens in September, even before Kochadaiyaan.
