After the anti-social elements taking control over the Jallikattu protests, the situation in Chennai has become tense and worse.

Superstar Rajinikanth has officially sent a press note, in which he says, "The peaceful protests by a humongous number of students and youngsters all over Tamil Nadu has registered its place in the Indian history. At a point when these students made the whole world look back at us, it is very much disheartening to see the current situation in the state.
 

When we got an assurance from the State and Central Government about Jallikattu happening, we should have believed in them and shown respect by staying calm.

But now, few anti-social elements are bringing a bad image to all the hard work put up by you guys (youngsters, ladies, kids, police officers and others). Don't let these anti-social groups spoil your hard work. To prevent this unfortunate incident, I kindly request all of you to call off this protest and return home safely."
