With many films releasing on OTT platforms, it was speculated that the film might even hit the same route, but it has now been confirmed that the movie is heading towards release on the big screens very soon.The makers took to social media to make the news official. KJR Studios, the movie's co-producer, took to Twitter to announce that 'Doctor' will hit theatres next month, October 2021.

Sharing a new poster of the movie that showcases the movie's characters along with the release details, the production house wrote, "Set all the speculations aside. Get ready for your laughter shot! #Doctor is coming to the big screen in October 2021!". The makers also noted that the decision is "only for the fans and our dearest theatre owners." The release date, however, hasn't been announced yet.

'Doctor' stars Priyanka Mohan, Vinay, Yogi Babu, Archana, Arun Alexandar, Deepa, and Ilavarasu in other pivotal roles. Anirudh Ravichander is the music director for the project. The action-entertainer movie is jointly bankrolled by Sivakarthikeyan under his banner Sivakarthikeyan Productions and KJR studios.

Actor Sivakarthikeyan is currently shooting for his college-based entertainer Don in Agra. It is directed by directed by Cibi Chakaravarthi and Produced by SK Productions and Lyca Productions. The movie also has Priyanka Mohan as the female lead. Meanwhile, Director Nelson Dilipkumar is busy with the shoot of Thalapathy Vijay's biggie 'Beast'.
