Bharathi Kannamma is currently one of the most popular serials on Vijay TV. Actress Farina Azad, who plays the role of Venba, in a Q&A session, has answered many questions of fans about the serial. She has informed that the serial is not coming to an end anytime soon, and she has replied - "WAIT & WATCH", when asked about DNA Test query - the one question that has long meddled in the lives of the lead pair of the serial. 

Bharathi Kannamma has always been a fan favorite serial. Broadcast on Vijay TV, the serial focusses on the story of Kannamma and Bharathi, who fight for their love and unite after a long hiatus. Shunned upon by the society for her color, her husband is the only person who was her staunch supporter. But due to the vile antics of the villainous Venba who is crazy on Bharathi, the latter suspects Kannamma of adultery and throws her out of the house.

Soundarya, Bharathi's mother, who was averse to Kannamma at the very beginning, grew to love her sincereity and good nature, and even when her son drove Kannamma out of the house. Now years later, we have the couple's twin daughters growing up - one with their father and the other with their mother. It so happens that Soundarya presents one of the kids to Bharathi as an orphaned kid and he brings her up like her own daughter.

In the meantime, Venba continues her antics to marry Bharathi, finds out the kid is infact Bharathi's daughter, and now the girl is kidnapped and Kannamma is entrapped in the case. The girl escapes and what happens next is the current track of the show.
