Vishal's Irumbu Thirai, directed by P.S.Mithran, is running successfully in the theatres and the makers had a thanks meet this morning at Green Park, Chennai.
 

During the meet, Vishal was seen very open and frank, with his speech. He said, "All the decks were cleared and the film (Irumbu Thirai) was ready for release. On the day of the release, May 11, me, along with my friends were together, and around 8-8.30 am, the game started.

All the external forces started the problems and said that the film will not release as planned. They wanted to turn against me. If this is the situation of the President of Tamil Film Producers Council, imagine what could be the plight of the normal producer. They played a game. But, I released the film against all the odds. Now, at this moment, I challenge you all (addressing the external opposition forces), TFPC's motive is to make the producers win, and whoever comes against the release of a film, the council will take care of it.

TFPC will stand straight and honest against all bad forces. Whatever those people try, our film producers will win with their films. That will be our motive. I have realized it, with this issue. The last 10 hours before the release of Irumbu Thirai has turned my life upside down, and gave me a clarity about life. 

My heartiest thanks to my friend and producer S.R.Prabhu, who stood by me, throughout this issue, and made the release possible. If not for him, Irumbu Thirai wouldn't have released as planned. Thank you so much Prabhu. I'd also like to extend my thanks to all the theatre owners for patiently standing by my side amidst all these issues."
