Vijayendra Prasad has closely associated with Rajamouli and worked on various scripts together. He recently worked on the script of Atlee's Mersal is now ready with a script of his own, a sequel to Rowdy Rathore. Rowdy Rathore is a remake of a Telugu film directed by SS Rajamouli titled Vikramarkudu.

Rowdy Rathore which released in 2012 had Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha playing the lead roles in the film. The film received a massive response from the audience.  The film in Hindi was directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

With completing the script of Rowdy Rathore 2, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is yet to give his approval for producing the film.
 

Siruthai is the Tamil remake of Vikramarkudu which was commercially successful. If Rowdy Rathore 2 turns out to be a successful venture, will Siva join hands with Karthi again after the completion of Viswasam?
