The audience liked him for his involuntary responses to the anchors.
When Shankar Mahadhevan, who was one among the four judges in that particular season, looked at Poovaiya's spontaneity, he prophesied that Poovaiyar will do films after the show. Now, his words have come true, as Poovaiyar has done a few combination scenes with Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi in the film 'Master', directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
