Kollywood’s Makkal Selvan, Vijay Sethupathi was last seen as Shilpa in Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s multi-starrer neo-noir black comedy, Super Deluxe. The film also featured Fahadh Faasil, Samantha Akkineni, Ramya Krishnan amongst others in the lead while Mysskin, Gayathrie, Ashwanth Ashokkumar, and Bagavathi Perumal were seen in the supporting roles.
The actor’s next had a release this month. ‘Sindhubaadh’ that also features Anjali in the lead was earlier announced to have a May 16 release. Directed by ‘Sethupathi’ and ‘Pannaiyarum Padminiyum’ fame S. U. Arun Kumar, the film is produced by S. N. Rajarajan and Shan Sutharsan under the production banners Vansan Movies and K Productions.
However, it has been lately learnt that this flick has been pushed to June 2nd week for the release. As there are these movies releasing on May 17- Siva Karthikeyan - Nayanthara's Mr Local, SJ Suryah starrer Monster and fantasy adventure Thumbaa starring Darshan - the ‘Sindhubaadh’ makers would have felt it right to postpone it.
‘Sindhubaadh’ has Yuvan Shankar Raja as the music composer and Vijay Kartik Kannan will be seen handling the cinematography whereas Ruben will be seen handling the cuts for the film. Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi has Maamanithan, Laabam, Sanga Thamizhan amongst others lined up in his kitty.
