EXCLUSIVE: "THERE WAS A KISS SCENE IN 96 WHICH WAS DELETED LATER" - VIJAY SETHUPATHI REVEALS!

The film stars Nayanthara and Samantha opposite Vijay Sethupathi. Produced by Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studios, Red Giant Movies has bagged this film's distribution rights in Tamil Nadu.

Cinematography is by Vijay Karthik Kannan. The film was shot in Coimbatore at the end of 2020 and was shot in Hyderabad, Chennai and Pondicherry. The single of the film has already been released with music by Anirudh and it has been well received by the fans.

Vijay Sethupathi plays the role of Rambo in this film. Rambo is an acronym for R'anjankudi A'nbarasu M'urugesa B'opathy O'hoondhiran. Samantha plays as Khatija while Nayanthara plays the role of Kanmani. The first three look posters of the film were officially released on (15.11.2021). The posters were all well received.

It was announced in December last year that the film would be a theatrical release. But the December release was postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The film is set to release in theaters on April 28.

Vijay Sethupathi has given an exclusive interview to BEHINDWOODS in which VJS said that he has agreed to act in this film only for Vignesh Shivan. He also talked about his experience working with actresses Samantha, Tamannaah and Nayanthara. 

And while talking about '96' film, he wondered about the story flow of the film. 96 also explained his understanding of the film. Vijay Sethupathi has said that the film also had a kiss scene in the climax and that the makers would have removed it as it would be a false precedent for them to do the same.

The 8th Behindwoods Gold Medals Awards will be held this year on May 15 and 22 at the Island Grounds in Chennai from 6pm to 11.30pm. Ticket booking for this is currently underway.
