S. Kathiresan is the producer of the films 'Pollathavan' and 'Aadukalam' directed by Vetri Maaran on behalf of Five Star Creations. The film 'Aadukalam' won many awards, including 6 national awards. Similarly, films like 'Udayam', 'Kakkamuttai', 'Visaranai' and 'Vada Chennai' were produced by Vetrimaran's production company - 'Grass Root Film Company'. 'Kakkamuttai' has won many awards, including the National Award. 'Visaranai' won a National Award and was nominated for an Academy Award on behalf of India.

The first look poster and second look poster for the new film, titled The Power, starring Raghava Lawrence's story and screenplay, produced by Vetri Maaran and Five Star Kathiresan, have already been released.

In this film, Raghava Lawrence plays a young man named Tamilvel from Melur, Madurai district. It is observed that this film speaks to the plight of Tamil Nadu mercenaries who migrated to Malaysia-Singapore for work.

The film is directed by Durai Senthilkumar, who directed the films Ethir Neechal, Kodi and Pattas. Renowned Telugu film composer SS Thaman has been contracted as the music director for the film. For the unversed, Thaman has already composed the background music for Lawrence's Kanchana-3.
