One massive controversy that has taken the world by storm is the ball tampering issue in the test match between Australia and South Africa. As a punishment, the Australian captain Steve Smith and vice-captain David Warner were given 12-month bans. 

In a press conference after returning to Australia, Steve Smith was reduced to tears. This moved a lot of cricket fans and celebrities as well. Many celebrities took to Twitter to empathize with Smith and next in line is Varun Dhawan. 

His tweet read, "Watching #stevensmith apologise and look broken is very sad. I’m sure the fans will forgive him. He looks beyond remorseful I hope and pray he will come out of this ordeal a better cricketer. The mental the emotional trauma I’m sure is bigger then Any ban."
