Reports about Vada Chennai's box office performance are all over the media. The film has indeed taken a very good opening. Looks like Dhanush and Vetri Maaran have seen a handsome success in Round 3 as well after Polladhavan and Aadukalam. 

As far as Chennai city is considered, Vada Chennai has grossed around ₹3.07 crores according to Behindwoods Box office report. It must be noted that this Dhanush starrer is 'A' rated which means it is not a go-to film for the family audience. The film performing so well in spite of all that is a very good sign for the trade.

Vada Chennai tops this week's Tamil Nadu and Chennai city box office charts. With the next big release being Sarkar which is close to 15 days away, Vada Chennai is likely to have a good run till Diwali.
