Popular television serial actor Sanjeev, who is known for his role as Selvam in Thirumathi Selvam, is also a feature film actor, who has done pivotal roles in films like Pudhiya Geethai, Saamy Square, and more.
He is also a close friend of Thalapathy Vijay, who hosted the audio launch of Mersal. In his recent interaction with Behindwoods, Sanjeev recollected an interesting incident, one of the rarest occasions, when Vijay lost his cool and got angry.
Sanjeev said, "He will get angry only because of me (laughs). He did not talk to me for six months after a fight. Through one of the interviews, I apologized to him and asked sorry. Vijay immediately called me and asked me why I had to apologize to him, that too on a public forum. He said both of us were busy with our respective works and that is why couldn't talk for the six months.
I can't reveal what the incident is about, but I will narrate a small portion of that. Myself, Vijay and our friends gang met for dinner. Some argument popped up and I went a little over the board. It was my mistake only. Without knowing the complete issue, I told something and that irked Vijay.
If he is angry, he doesn't speak or shout back. His silence would itself kill us. So, when I went a little too much, Vijay slammed the table, and immediately left the place. The next six months, we did not talk. Post that incident, I realised it was my mistake and decided not to interfere in anyone's problems, without listening to both the sides and understanding the issue completely."
