Jai Bhim' is based on a true incident that happened in 1995. It throws light on how popular advocate and judge Justice Chandru who went beyond the call of duty to ensure that justice is served to Irular Tribe Community, specifically to Sengani, who's husband gets wrongfully convicted in a theft case and suffers custodial torture by the police. Apart from Suriya, the film features Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, Rajisha Vijayan, Manikandan, and Lijomol Jose in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, Thalapathy Vijay is working on the much-awaited 'Beast' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar which is his 65th film. Bankrolled by Sun Pictures, the film features Pooja Hegde as the female lead. and also includes stars like Selvaraghavan, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Lilliput Faruqui, Shine Tom Chacko, Ankur Ajit Vikal and Aparna Das. The movie's shooting is going on at a brisk pace and is expected to release next year.

The duo is said to have met at the office of Sun Network. Since both of them are classmates and have known each other for many years, they sure do have many topics to discuss about. We hear that Suriya met Vijay and had a heart-to-heart discussion for 15 minutes. The ace stars have acted in the movie 'Friends' directed by Siddique. It was released in the year 2001.

Suriya has currently wrapped up the shooting of his 40th film 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' which is directed by Pandiraj. He also has 'Vaadivaasal' directed by Vetrimaaran and Madhavan's 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' in the pipeline. Vijay has teamed with Director Vamshi Paidipally of 'Thozha' and 'Oopiri' fame for his next, produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations, and the film is tentatively titled 'Thalapathy 66'. The official information was announced on September 26. The cast and crew of the film is yet to be announced.
