Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban is the upcoming directorial of RDM that stars VJ-turned-actor Suresh Ravi and popular dubbing artiste Raveena S.R in the lead roles. The film's title has been launched on 22nd May, the first year of remembrance of the Sterlite protests which took place in Thoothukudi.
When asked about the film, the heroine, Raveena S.R said "The movie is about how the police treats civilians and it is definitely not based on Sterlite protests, but the story mirrors the plight of the incident's victims. The film portrays reality without buttering up." The shooting and post production process of the film has been completed and the film is getting ready for release.

Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban is jointly produced by BR Talkies corporation in association with White Moon talkies. The film's music is composed by Adithya and Surya, alumni of the AR Rahman-founded KM conservatory and Vishnu Shree will be handling the camera. The first look is expected to be launched in the first week of June, followed by the film's teaser.
