INDIAN 2: CRANE ACCIDENT AT THE SHOOTING SPOT KILLS 3 CREW MEMBERS

A 150-foot industrial crane that was used for lighting has reportedly fell down, resulting in the loss of three lives, including that of an assistant director named Krishna, aged 34. Over ten people have been severely injured, says reports.
Actor Kamal Haasan was reportedly said to be in the shooting spot during the accident, but he is safe. The incident took place in EVP Film City around 9:30pm today (Feb 19), where the makers were setting up lighting for the shoot. Currently, the injured people are rushed to the nearby hospital.
Directed by Shankar, Indian 2 is produced by Lyca Productions and stars Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Kajal Aggarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Rakul Preet Singh in important roles. Indian 2 features cinematography by R. Rathnavelu while Anirudh composes music for the film.
