OFFICIAL: HERE ARE THE STARS WHO ARE PART OF MANI RATNAM'S PONNIYIN SELVAN 1ST SCHEDULE!
Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsIt has started! After a long pre-production stage, ace director Mani Ratnam's dream project 'Ponniyin Selvan', the silver screen adaptation of the five-part Tamil novella written by Kalki Krishnamurthy has gone on floors recently.
Ponniyin Selvan is produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies and the film boasts a stellar cast that includes Aishwarya Rai, Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Sarathkumar, Ashwin Kakumanu (phew!) and others.
The film is jointly scripted by Mani Ratnam and 'Kaatrin Mozhi', 'Kurangu Bommai' fame actor Kumaravel. The cinematography of the film will be handled by the ace cinematographer, Ravi Varman.The first schedule of the film started yesterday (12th December) in Bangkok.
The first-schedule is expected to go for a period of one month in which actors Karthi, Jayam Ravi and Aishwarya Lekshmi's parts will be shot. Other stellar casts are expected to join the shoot soon, after which the shooting will happen at full-pace. Can't wait to see this grandeur cast share screen-space, yes? Stay tuned!
