Thalapathy 63 is one of the much awaited movies of 2019. It has Vijay playing the lead role alongside Nayanthara, while Reba Monica John, Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Daniel Balaji, Vivekh, Yogi Babu, Anand Raj, Indhuja, Amritha Iyer and others appear in prominent roles.
It is directed by Atlee and produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh and Kalpathi S Suresh under the banner AGS Entertainment. This is Atlee's 3rd consecutive film with Vijay after Theri and Mersal. It also marks Vijay's hattrick collaboration with Rahman after Mersal and Sarkar. The film has cinematography by GK Vishnu, and is all set for a release this Diwali.
Every year, on occasion of May Day, Vijay gives gifts to workers, and feeds them with lunch. It must be noted that Vijay manages all these expenses from his own pocket. This year, due to elections, he couldn't do it on May 1.
As Vijay is busy shooting for Thalapathy 63, he designated the work to his fan club association, headed by Ex-MLA Bussy Anand. They gave gifts to auto-rickshaw drivers, and also gave them a sumptuous meal. This gesture of Vijay is well appreciated.
