Produced by AGS Entertainment, the sports-drama featured Lady Superstar Nayanthara as the female lead while Jackie Shroff, Vivek, Yogi Babu, Daniel Balaji, Kathir, Indhuja, Varsha Bollamma, Gayathri Reddy, Reba Monica John amongst others were seen in prominent roles.
Recently, the film was premiered in Sun TV during the Pongal festival and has received a good viewership by getting 1,64,73,000 impressions which is Thalapathy's second best number after Sarkar.
While Thalapathy’s Bigil topped the chart during the season, Sivakarthikeyan’s Namma Veettu Pillai gets the second position with a viewership of 1,47,74,000 impressions, Vishal’s Sandakozhi 2 gets 1,23,38,000 impressions and Vijay Sethupathi’s Sangathamizhan gets 94,70,000 impressions. And guess what, popular TV serial, Roja went down to the fifth position with 93,07,000 impressions.
