On the technical front, Bigil is cinematographed by G.K. Vishnu of Mersal fame while Ruben handles the editing department. The film features music composed by Oscar winner, AR Rahman. Made at a budget of a whopping 180 crores, the film is bankrolled by Archana Kalpathi under the banner AGS Entertainment.

The film is all set to hit the big screens on October 25th and it will clash with Karthi’s Kaithi which will also be releasing on the same day, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Meanwhile, Behindwoods got in touch with the real football players who were featured in the film.

When the team was asked as to which character among - Rayappan, Michael and Bigil was their favourite, each and everyone of them revealed that it’s the old vere-level get-up of Rayappan as that was the first character they had met and talking about those expressive eyes, they just had full of praises showering on the actor.
