This weekend saw the release of 6 Tamil films and Superstar has now appreciated the makers of Seethakaathi, which was one among the six releases. Seethakaathi is Vijay Sethupathi's 25th film, directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan.

We are informed by our close sources that Rajinikanth watched the film recently and praised the makers for the innovative attempt and the experimentation. He appreciated Vijay Sethupathi for his utmost dedication and perfection in his performance as Ayya Adhimoolam. He is also said to be impressed with director Balaji Tharaneetharan for his uncompromised artistic writing and execution.

Rajinikanth praised Makkal Selvan by complimenting, "Vijay Sethupathi na vidhyasam, Vidhyasam na Vijay Sethupathi."
