SUPERSTAR RAJINIKANTH CONGRATULATES AMITABH BACHCHAN ON RECEIVING DADASAHEB PHALKE AWARD

On 24th September, the Indian government announced that the thespian will be receiving the Dadasahed Phalke Award, India's highest award in the field of cinema, named after the first filmmaker of India. This prestigious award comprises of a Swarna Kamal (Golden Lotus) medallion, a shawl and a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh.

After the announcement, Superstar Rajinikanth took to Twitter to congratulate Amitabh Bachchan. In his tweet, Rajinikanth had mentioned that he highly deserves this honour.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will be playing an important role inn director Surendar Reddy's magnum opus Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which stars Chiranjeevi playing the titular lead. The film is set to release on October 2.
