Khandaani Shafakhana is an upcoming film that has Sonakshi Sinha, Badshah, Varun Sharma, and Annu Kapoor in lead roles. It is a comedy drama that is written and directed by Gautam Mehra and Shilpi Dasgupta respectively.
The film is produced by Sundial Productions and T-Series. It is all set for a theatrical release on 2nd August, 2019, and also marks the acting debut of rapper Baadshah.
Sonakshi Sinha will be playing the role of a sex clinic owner in the film, and while speaking to a media house, she said: "It is about Babita Bedi, who runs a sex clinic after she inherits it. I was surprised and wondered why they were approaching me for a film with a bold theme like this. If you see my track record, I have only done family entertainers. So, I was confused initially, but when they narrated the entire subject to me, I was floored.
I am happy that we are making films like Vicky Donor and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, but these films have had a male protagonist. So I am proud to be the first actress to do a film like this."
