'MAANADU': STR AND TEAM PAYS A BEFITTING TRIBUTE TO VIVEKH BY DOING THIS ON THE SETS!
Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsPadma Shri Vivekh, who was hailed by all as ‘Chinna Kalaivanar’ for his social awareness ideas through his films, passed away a few days ago. Vivekh, who has spoken a lot about conserving nature, has been emphasizing the need for everyone to plant trees. He has been dreaming of planting one crore saplings in his lifetime and has so far, planted 33 lakh saplings.
While paying homage to the actor, Silambarasan said that the real tribute to Vivekh would be to plant trees. One of Simbu’s upcoming films is Maanadu, directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamatchi. Shooting is currently on in Chennai. Before the shooting started today, the crew lit candles and paid homage to the portrait of Vivekh.
Following that, Silambarasan paid his respects to Vivekh by planting ten saplings along with the crew at the shooting site. Heroine Kalyani Priyadarshan, Premji, Karunakaran, Stunt Silva, director Venkat Prabhu, producer Suresh Kamatchi among others also participated in the event and planted saplings.
Silambarasan said that he will continue to plant trees and asked not only his fans but also everyone to plant a tree and make Vivekh's dream come true.
