Sudhan and Jayaram have bankrolled Takkar under the banner of Passion Studios. In the film, trending comedian Yogi Babu will sport dual roles as father and son for the first time. Actors Abhimanyu Singh, Yogi Babu, Munishkanth, RJ Vignesh and Ramdoss also play pivotal roles in the film.

Takkar's soundtrack attracted attention by featuring songs in the voice of STR and Andrea in Rainbow Thiralil and as we had reported, GVM and Sid Sriman will croon a break-up song together in the film. 'Maragatha Maalai' in the voice of Pradeep Vijay, Vijay Yesudas, and Chinmayi Sripaada, has also captured the hearts of the audience.

The breaking update on Takkar is that the film is slated for April a 17 release, a week after Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi's Master's tentative release date, which is April 9. April is something to look forward to for the film buffs, yes?
