Popular Television star Dhivyadharshini aka DD Neelakandan has entertained tamil audiences through her presence in television shows like Koffee with DD and the dance reality show Jodi. The actor had recently celebrated the twentieth year of her illustrious career as Television anchor. The actor is also a popular emcee.
Meanwhile, the actor had stepped into Telugu cinema with her debut in an upcoming Romantic flick directed by Anil Paduri starring Akash Puri as the film's male lead and Charmee Kaur in a crucial role. DD is set to essay an important character in the film. The film is produced by Puri Jagannadh. DD took to twitter to express her joy as the star has completed her first schedule of shooting for the film.

It is noted that DD made her silverscreen debut with a supporting role in the 2003 film Nala Damayanthi and has also featured in films like Pa Paandi and the much recent Sarvam Thaala Mayam. She will also be seen playing a main role in the Vikram starrer Dhruva Natchathiram
