Fans who have been eagerly waiting for this announcement for sometime now got to witness the video announcement from Simbu. Silambarasan took to twitter to reveal the title video of the movie and said that it will be directed by Gokul of 'Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara' fame. This will mark Simbu's 48th movie.

The one-minute-long video has three men wearing lion masks and the jersey of IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings announcing the film's name through a megaphone. They are also seen blaring the name 'Kumudha', which is the name of Nandita Swetha's character in Vijay Sethupathi-starrer 'Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara'.

'Kumudha' became popular after the dialogue 'Kumudha Happy Annachi' from the movie became viral. The video also states that a tribute song to CSK will be released tomorrow (October 19) by the team. CSK is going head-to-head tomorrow in their first IPL match after it was paused due to the rising COVID-19 cases.

Meanwhile, Silambarasan is busy with a number of projects in hand including Gautham Vasudev Menon's 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu'. Two posters from the film have been released and the shooting is underway at a brisk pace. STR is collaborating with GVM for the third time after 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa' (2010), 'Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada' (2016) and the short film 'Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn' (2020). This movie will also be produced by Ishari K Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International.

Simbu also has 'Pathu Thala' directed by directed by Obeli N Krishna of 'Sillunnu Oru Kadhal' fame. The movie has Gautham Karthik playing a prominent role.
