Actor Sasikumar was last seen onscreen in the Karthik Subbaraj-directed ensemble action-drama Petta, which had Rajinikanth, Simran and Trisha in lead roles. This festival release had went on to be one of the biggest hits of 2019.
The actor is gearing up for his next, Kennedy Club, directed by Suseenthiran, in which the actor is portraying the character of the coach of a women's Kabaddi team. The film also stars veteran director Bharathiraja, Meenakshi and Soori in crucial roles.
On the technical front, Kennedy Club is shot by R.B. Gurudhev while Anthony handles the cuts. The film's soundtrack is composed by D. Imman and bankrolled by D. N. Thai Saravanan under the banner Nallusamy Pictures.
It was earlier announced that this film would be released on the Independence Day, August 15th this year. However, it is now said that the film’s release has been pushed to August 22 which is exactly a week after the initially announced release date.
